Makeup Eraser Review

Okay so my aunt gave this towel the other day, and she said this thing was magic. It's from Daiso Japan and I think it was like $2 or $3. This towel will apparently take all my makeup off and all I have to do is put water on it. Of course I was a bit skeptical because how the heck could this possibly remove my makeup? It's just a towel???

So yesterday I decided to give it a try. I'd like to note that this towel is pretty big and she advised me to cut it into smaller pieces (which I did). I cut it into 8 pieces and now it's the perfect size.

I'd also like to note that I have no idea if I'm supposed to wring the towel out after I get it wet, but I did. I will also try it without wringing it out and I'll let you know how that goes once I do.

Here's what the towel looks like! It comes in other colors too.

This towel truly is magic. It took all of my foundation off with ease. I barely even had to wipe my face. Mascara on the other hand was a little tricky but I ended up getting all of it off. It didn't make my skin feel weird or leave a residue at all which was great! What's cool about this is that after you use it you just wash it and it's good as new! (so cutting it up into small pieces is a good idea if you plan on using it a lot. then you will always have a fresh one to use!!)

Here's me after I used the towel. Like I said before, it takes a bit of elbow grease to get the mascara off. (also please excuse my unruly eyebrows)

This is going to be perfect on days that I'm wearing makeup and I want to go to the gym because I am lazy and I actually hate washing my face just to go workout. I know I could technically work out with my makeup on (ew) but I just don't want to risk breaking out because I'm getting all sweaty with foundation on! I also don't really like using makeup wipes unless I'm immediately washing my face afterwards since the residue it leaves on my skin feels icky. So I'm really excited to use this instead.

Go pick one of these up and try it for yourself!!
P.s. this is not sponsored I just thought it was really cool!

Rustic Apple Tart

Today I'm going to be sharing one of my favorite dessert recipes! I love apple pie but I'm not really ever in the mood to actually make an apple pie, so I make this instead! It's much easier and definitely just as tasty!

This recipe makes two tarts!!

Ingredients:
  •  Betty Crocker pie crust mix** (because I'm lazy)
  • 4 cups peeled + sliced apples
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • sugar (to top)
** I usually use Pillsbury pie crust dough but they didn't have it at the store.

Directions:
  • Make your dough, form into 2 balls and refrigerate while you prepare the filling
  • Peel and slice apples
  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Put apples in large bowl. Add in sugars, flour, salt cinnamon and vanilla.
  • Mix together so all apples are coated
  • Roll out dough
  • Put mixture in center of the dough and fold edges over
  • In a separate bowl, beat egg and brush onto edges of dough. Sprinkle sugar over top
  • Bake in oven for 55 minutes
  • Take out when crust is golden brown.
Top it off with some whipped cream or ice cream and enjoy!!
